First let me say, I have read everything by this author have loved and eagerly anticipated her releases for years. She has written my favorite all-time books. But, I may be done. This book is horrible. Almost as if it’s not the same author. But I know it is because the last two books of Havoc turned this direction as well. Not sure if the author is going through something right now and it’s showcasing in her FMC’s but I could not even finish this book. Kota is a whiny, negative brat. I get she’s sixteen. But come on. Who wants to read about someone that literally puts down everything. She won’t give anything in her new life a chance and constantly has inner dialogue about her old home and everything about it. I kept reading for awhile, to see if maybe there is some growth, but it ended up being too much, so I had to quit. Kota is not likable in anyway, so I cannot even want those guys to fall for her. Especially with how hateful and nasty she talks to them constantly. But I guess if you follow up with “I know I’m being mean and bratty”, it’s okay. We’ll it’s not if you continue to do it. Over and over again. So disappointed.
